DOHA: Top seed Victor Crouin will take on fourth seed Leonel Cardenas in the final of PSA Challenger QSF #4 event at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, today.
Crouin advanced to the final after India’s Ramit Tandon retired in 19th minute, with the Frenchman leading their semi-final 11-4, 7-4.
Mexico’s Cardenas reached the title clash after dispatching Egypt’s Aly Abou Eleinen 11-5, 11-2, 11-6 in 31 minutes.
Eleinen shocked second seed Omar Mosaad in the quarter-finals. The final will be played at 5pm.
This tournament is the second Challenger 30 level men’s event on the 2022 calendar, following Greg Lobban’s victory at the Cannon Kirk Irish Squash Open in Dublin, with the Life Time Chicago Open, City Tattersall Australian Open and the Malaysian Open Championships still to come.
