Doha: Qatar’s Arab Museum of Modern Art (Mathaf) urged students aged 13 to 17 to apply for its short story competition seeking to shed light on and strengthen the applicants’ talents and skills.

The competition requires an Arabic-language short story of 1600-2000 words on FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Championship.

The short stories will be submitted either in handwriting or printed as of August 25 and runs through September 25 at the Mathaf headquarters or at mathaf_libraryqm.org.qa.

The jury which comprises writers and experts chosen by the Doha Film Institute will select the best three short stories for awards.

The winners will get vouchers to participate as Hilal (Crescent) referees in the refereeing week of the Ajyal Film Festival 2022.
